Antonio Guterres meets with delegation of refugees

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who is on Pakistan’s visit, has met with refugees from Afghanistan, Yemen, and Tajikistan in Islamabad.
The delegation of the refugees told the UN Secretary that there are living in good conditions here and have enough opportunities for education and business.
They told the UN chief that many of them were born during their parents' stay in Pakistan and they have learned different skills that have enriched their lives.
After Turkey, Pakistan hosts the largest number of refugees in the world.
After the Afghan war in the 1980s, 4.5 million refugees came to Pakistan and the country still hosts around 2.7 million refugees.
The UN chief on the occasion said that Pakistan has hosted refugees for long and world must acknowledge Pakistan's sacrifices.
He said he has come to Pakistan for thanking the country for hosting the Afghan refugees for so long.
