SHO, ASI among 8 cops charged with killing youngster

The police arrested the Tandlianwala Saddr Police SHO and an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) on Sunday on charges of killing a youngster.
According to the FIR, the youth was killed during a raid carried out at his home to arrest his brother in Tandlianwala Town in Faisalabad district.
The police registered a case against eight police personnel of the Tandlianwala Saddr Police, including SHO Ilyas and the ASI.
According to the FIR, the Saddr Police carried out a raid in search for a theft accused Sarfaraz. The police officials entered the house by breaking the front door.
The deceased youngster, scared of the police action, tried to run away. The police personnel, however, opened fire on him and badly wound the youngster.
The FIR said that instead of taking the accused to the hospital, they waited for one and a half hour and then left him outside a Tandlianwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in critical condition.
He later succumbed to his injuries.
The SHO and the ASI were arrested for their involvement in killing an unarmed man during the raid.
TWO MURDERED IN HOUSE
Separately, two brothers were shot dead by unidentified assailants after breaking into their house in Millat Town of Faisalabad city.
Tahir, brother of the deceased persons, told the police that his brothers were sleeping in the drawing-room when unidentified assailants broke into their house and killed both of them with indiscriminate gunshots.
He informed that all the family members were asleep when they were murdered.
The Millat Town Police have registered a case and shifted the dead bodies for autopsy.
