Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to Zara Naeem after she topped the financial reporting exam given by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) students.
In a tweet, he said, “I keep saying this... Give Pakistani girls an equal chance and they can take on and beat the best in the world.”
“Proud of #ZaraNaeem and wish her the best in her future goals,” Asad Umar said.
Zara was declared a global prizewinner after she secured the highest marks in the exam conducted in December 2020. In this examination, 527,000 students from 179 countries participated in which Zara Naeem topped the list. She is from Lahore.
Zara thanked everyone for congratulating her on the achievement.

In an Instagram post, Zara said, ”Once again a HUGE Thanks to each and every person who’s congratulated me/ is happy for me on my achievement. Sending lots of love and prayers your way.”
Zara said that she wanted to end the perception that finance and accountancy are only for men and she gave credit on her success to her father as he was a role model for her.
