The deans’ committee and medical superintendents of KEMU-attached hospitals welcomed the newly-appointed Mayo Hospital MS Dr Iftikhar Ahmed on Tuesday.
KEMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Khalid Masud Gondal presided over the event while Pro VC Asad Aslam Khan, Registrar Dr Riasat Ali, Lady Willingdon Hospital MS Dr Sabahat Habib, Govt Nawaz Sharif Hospital MS Dr Gulzar Hussain, Mian Munshi Hospital MS Dr Adnan Qamar and Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital MS Dr Ahmed Nadeem were among the participants.
The moot mulled over the steps to stem the spread of Covid 19 and the house was informed that the 1st year classes will start from 22nd of the ongoing month. Mayo Hospital AMS Dr Adil was awarded a shield in recognition of his services.
Welcoming the newly-appointed MS of Mayo Hospital, Pro VC Asad said Dr Iftikhar is an honest administrator. Prof Khalid Masud Gondal said Dr Iftikhar is a very good organiser and administrator who inherited these qualities from his father who served Mayo Hospital as AMS. They expressed the resolve to fully facilitate him for better public service delivery.
Dr Iftikhar Ahmad thanked Prof Khalid Gondal and the KEMU for welcoming him in such a way and offering full cooperation. He vowed to come up to their expectations.
