The federal cabinet on Friday approved reemployment of Naeem Bukhari as chairman of the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV).
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had stopped Naeem Bukhari from working as PTV chairman this week. According to sources, the Information Ministry sent a summary for appointment of Naeem Bukhari as chairman of the state-run TV. The federal cabinet notified Naeem Bukhari’s fresh appointment as chairman of the state TV. He has been appointed through a circulation summary.
Naeem Bukhari is a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
