Sadr police have arrested five people for putting stakes on cockfight in Pakpattan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The police recovered valuables worth Rs1.7 million from the possession of the cockfight punters.
According to details, the Pakpattan DPO received information regarding a cockfight competition at Pir Ghani Road. He dispatched a police team to the place. The spectators gathered to watch the cockfight were involved in a kind of hullabaloo and were excited during the match.
The police raided the place and recovered two vehicles that were put on stake and other valuables worth Rs1.7 million from the possession of cockfight organizers.
They arrested five people and registered a case.
