A copy of the charge sheet against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for insulting the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has surfaced, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The hearing on the contempt of the CEC was conducted by a four-member bench headed by Nisar Durrani, a member of the Sindh Election Commission.

During the hearing, the individual charge was read in front of the PTI chairman Imran Khan, who is accused of using derogatory remarks against the CEC on July 12, 18, 27, and August 13, 2022.

The charge sheet continued that the former prime minister Imran Khan is accused of attempting to scandalize the CEC and his language and behavior during the hearing were considered insulting.

The PTI chairman allegedly targeted the CEC with hatred, mockery, and contempt.

The PTI chairman has been accused of committing contempt under Article 204 of the Constitution and Section 3 of the Contempt of Court Ordinance.

The evidence presented suggested that the PTI chairman has been found guilty of insulting the CEC.

All these allegations have been documented in the charge sheet against the PTI chairman.

However, the charge sheet added that the PTI chairman denied signing the individual charge and also denied the health charges brought against him.
