Polish sports channel TVP Sport was the target of a cyberattack Sunday that prevented viewers from watching the first half of the national team's Euro 2024 match against the Netherlands.

"Around 15:00 (1300 GMT) Polish Television recorded a DDoS (denial-of-service) attack carried out from IP addresses located in Poland," said TVP Sport director Jakub Kwiatkowski on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The attack blocked visitors from entering the entire of the TVP Sport website.

At the start of the second half of the match, access to the website was restored.

In their opening Euro 2024 clash, the Netherlands snatched a late winner in a 2-1 victory over Poland.

The Netherlands next face tournament favourites France on Friday, while Poland take on Austria.
