A citizen on Saturday challenged in the Supreme Court (SC) the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) decision in the Tyrian White case against former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Making Imran a respondent in his appeal, Muhammad Sajid prayed to the apex court to declare the high court’s decision null and void and declare the former prime minister ineligible for holding any public post.
The IHC had on May 21, 2024 dismissed a petition, seeking the disqualification of Imran for concealing his alleged daughter, Tyrian White on the grounds that a three-member bench had already dismissed the same petition on May 10, 2023 by two judges to one.
A three-member bench, comprising Justices Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, Arbab Mohammad Tahir and Saman Rafat Imtiaz, took up the petition after a gap of almost a year.
