Religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel led the funeral of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant-General Faiz Hameed’s mother at Latafwal village of Chakwal on Monday.

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sinjerani, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar, Federal Law Minister Farogh, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid, PPP leader Rehman Malik, Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hasan Chohan, PML-Q MNA Monis Elahi, lawyers, civil servants and local notables turned up at the funeral.

As soon as the media broke the sad story, key figures issued condolence message to the general. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed condolence and prayed for the departed soul.
