The test of a suspected coronavirus patient, who died at Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar early Monday, has come as negative.
Muhammad Saeed son of Qudrat Shah, suspected of having coronavirus, died early Monday. The 31-year-old victim from Hangu was brought to the hospital on March 14, where he lost his life today.
According to the hospital’s media cell, the deceased had recently returned to the country from Qatar. The media cell claimed his test for the coronavirus has come as negative.
Meanwhile, dozens of people are currently kept in quarantine in Dera Ismail Khan for screening after their return from Iran.
It is worth noting that although effective screening measures have been taken at the Torkham crossing, the Pak-Afghan border is still open to traffic despite the announcement made after the National Security Council meeting last week that the western borders would be soon be closed.
The decision was taken due to the fact that most of the coronavirus in the country are linked to travelling to Iran which is the second-most affected country in the world after China. Meanwhile, Italy has reported the third-highest number of deaths so far.
