42 Peshawar schools shut down over corona SOPs violation

The district administration of Peshawar in a mega crackdown on Tuesday sealed 42 schools for violating coronavirus guidelines, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The educational institutions were in attendance despite the ban, the TV channel reported.
Frontier Model School on Warsak Road, Warsak Public School, Mushroom Montessori School, Smart School in Zaryab Colony, International Training School, Lithium School Gulbahar in Hayatabad, Aleem School System in Gulbahar, Smart School in Zaryab Colony and others were closed.
Separately, managers of Crown Club Wedding Hall were also arrested for violating Covid-19 SOPs, the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar added.
He said the administration took action for violating the corona guidelines as despite the ban students were being called to the schools on daily basis.
As per the new SOPs formulated for seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, markets in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Abbottabad, Swat, Swabi and Malakand will be closed at 8 pm while pharmacy, bakery, grocery and other essential shops will remain open and there will be a complete ban on celebrations inside wedding halls and dining serving in restaurants.
