The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday refused to admit for hearing the petition filed by Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) against Prime Minister Imran Khan over the release of funds to the members of assemblies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Senator Bukhari, in his petition, had argued that no development scheme could be announced after the date for the election was fixed.

He had prayed to the ECP to summon the prime minister and ask him to explain his position with respect to his statement of the release of funds to the legislators ahead of Senate elections.
