Govt advises citizens to wear masks in crowded places with increase in corona cases

The federal government on Thursday advised all citizens to wear a face mask when stepping in crowded places as the country continued to witness rising COVID cases, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) in a tweet conveyed that amid the current COVID-19 disease trends across the country, the centre recommended following guidelines for the period up to 30 April 2023. "Mask wearing is recommended at crowded tightly enclosed spaces including healthcare facilities."

It is pertinent that Pakistan has reported nearly 129 new cases during the last 24 hours across the country on Thursday.  

As per data shared by the National Institute of Health (NIH), the case positivity ratio was 2.985 percent while 15 patients were in critical condition.

No death was reported from the Coronavirus in the last 24 hours while 4334 Covid-19 Corona tests were conducted.

As many as 1130 tests were conducted in Lahore out of which 52 cases were confirmed with a ratio of 8.22%, while 132 tests were conducted in Islamabad out of which five cases were reported confirmed with a ratio of 3.52%. Around 567 tests were conducted in Rawalpindi out of which 5 case was reported as positive with a ratio of 1.33%.

In the grand total, 129 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the last 24 hours. There are nine patients are critical among the affected patients.
