The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is set to unveil its lineup of candidates for the upcoming Senate election today (Friday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources, one of the most prominent figures in the PML-N camp, Ishaq Dar is vying for the technocrat seat from the federal capital, Islamabad.
Pervez Rasheed, Mustafa Ramday, and Aurangzeb have emerged as frontrunners for Senate seats from the Punjab province, as per insider reports.
Sources indicated that the names of Ahad Cheema, Talal Chaudhry, and Musadik Masood Malik have also been finalised for the senate candidates.
They added that PML-N gears up for the Senate election, shaping the contours of the country's political landscape in the days to come.
