Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday expressed his condolences on the sad demise of veteran politician, former parliamentarian and ANP leader Begum Naseem Wali Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul in eternal peace and give solace to the bereaved family, Ameen,” the ISPR said in a tweet, quoting the COAS.

President Dr Arif Alvi also expressed grief over the death of Begum Naseem Wali Khan.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani also said, “I am saddened by the death of Begum Naseem Wali Khan, the leader of the women's movement and Khudai Khidmatgar Movement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former leader of the Awami National Party.”
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif paid tributes to Begum Naseem Wali Khan and said she took an active part in politics and was the first woman to get elected on a general seat from KP.
Shehbaz Sharif said, “Her services for the empowerment of women will be remembered for a long time. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.”
Former President and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari expressed his grief over the demise of Begum Naseem, who fought for democracy in the MRD movement.
Faryal Talpur, Central President of PPP Women's Wing, also expressed her deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Begum Naseem Wali Khan. In a message released by PPP Media Cell, Faryal Talpur said,” Begum Naseem Wali Khan played an everlasting role in the democratic struggle. Begum Naseem struggle is a beacon for Pakistani women.”
JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expresseed grief over the death of Begum Naseem Wali Khan. Maulana Fazl said Begum Naseem was a fearless woman whose contribution would be remembered.
PML-Q leaders Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi and Chaudhry Shujaat, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani also mourned the death of the ANP leader and expressed condolences to the family of Begum Naseem Wali Khan.
Former KP chief minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti shared the funeral time and place. He said, "Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return" - Bibi Begum Naseem Wali Khan has passed away. May Allah bless the departed soul. Funeral to be offered today 06:00 pm at Walibagh Charsadda.”
Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati, State Minister for Information Farrukh Habib, former senator Rehman Malik, MNA Dr Mehreen Bhutto, PPP Central Secretary Information Faisal Karim Kundi, Pir Noorul Haq Qadri, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman, Special Advisor to KP CM Kamran Bangesh expressed their grief on the sad demise of the ANP leader.
The ANP has announced a three-day mourning on the death of Begum Naseem Wali Khan.
