Complaining letters on the violation of rules from the National College of Arts (NCA) Principal Dr Murtaza Jafri have been submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Federal Education Ministry.
According to the documents available with the 24News HD TV channel, it has been claimed that the tenure of the NCA principal has expired on April 30, 2022, but he did not hand over the charge to the next senior professor defying the rules.
It is also claimed that Dr Murtaza has tried to use the title of the ‘Vice-Chancellor’ of the college illegally with the connivance of Acting Registrar Ms Bushra Saeed Khan.
As per the documents, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on December 27, 2021, refrained the NCA administration from interpreting the legal position of ‘vice-chancellor’ without the concurrence of a competent forum but the principal and acting registrar continued using the title in sheer violation of the orders and the NCA Act.
The complaint letters have been filed from an NCA Research Associate and a candidate for the post of Principal Rao Dilshad Ali in the FIA on May 9, 2022, with the diary numbers 1567 and 1568.
The same applications have also been addressed to the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, and the Secretary of the Federal Education Department, and dispatched to the postal addresses on the same date.
NCA Research Associate Rao Dilshad Ali has moved the FIA and Education Ministry over the illegal occupation of the post of the prestigious institute.
