Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that after emerging stronger against the war on terror, it is our collective responsibility to work wholeheartedly for the progress and prosperity of our nation.
General Bajwa was talking to the participant of the annual National Security Workshop who meet him after the function on Tuesday.
The National Security Workshop was held at the National Defence University and representatives from all segments of society including some of the parliamentarians participated in it.
Talking to the workshop participants, Gen Bajwa stressed the need for a joint national response to tackle national security challenges.
He said Pakistan had emerged stronger from the war against terrorism as a resilient nation. He also emphasised that Army was focused on maintaining its operational preparedness and ensuring the security of the country against all threats.
Earlier, the participants of the workshop also visited General Headquarters where they were given a comprehensive briefing on the overall security situation and challenges being faced by Pakistan.
