As many as universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are running without permanent vice-chancellors for the last eight months due to delay in appointments, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources said that due to non-appointment of vice-chancellors, financial and administrative affairs of these universities are affected.
Sources further revealed that such universities without vice-chancellor are facing a lot of difficulties in obtaining funds for salaries and other works.
They said that the tenure of the vice chancellors of these universities had ended on March 2023.
Moreover, the tenure of 13 more vice-chancellors of universities will end in December, sources said.
In some universities pro-vice chancellors have also not been appointed in 12 universities for many months.
