Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar chaired the apex committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) at the Prime Minister’s House on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The high command of Pakistan Army also attended the meeting.
Besides that caretaker chief ministers of all four provinces and federal ministers were also in attendance.
The meeting discussed the prospects for investment in Pakistan by Gulf countries and China.
Officials of concerned ministries briefed the participants about the steps taken to attract investors from these countries such as for their security as well as the facilities to be provided to them.
Before the apex committee meeting, Army Chief General Asim Munir met with PM Kakar at the PM House.
According to sources, both exchanged views over the matters related to the country’s and regional security.
