After Pakistan's defeat in the second T20 match against Australia, Pakistan’s skipper and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan cited dropped catches as the primary reason for the loss, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, he praised the bowlers for their excellent performance but emphasized that fielding lapses made victory challenging.
"Our bowlers bowled brilliantly, but when you drop catches, it becomes difficult to win," Rizwan remarked.
Commenting on the batting performance, Rizwan acknowledged that the pitch was not ideal for batting but appreciated the efforts of Usman Khan and Irfan Khan, who played commendable innings under tough conditions.
The Pakistani captain expressed hope for improvement in the team's fielding as they prepare for the next match in the series.
