An application has been submitted to Nepra to reduce the price of electricity by Rs1.01 per unit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) submitted the application to the Nepra.
According to Nepra, application has been submitted in the context of fuel price adjustment for the month of October.
However, decision on the petition will not be applicable to K-electric consumers, the Nepra said, which will hear the application on November 26.
It was submitted in the application that not less than 9.98 billion units of electricity were sold in October.
Fuel cost per unit of electricity production in October was Rs9.26, text of application said.
In October, the fuel cost per unit was estimated at Rs10.27.
