Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched ‘Life Easy Program’ for Special Persons on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Life Easy Program for Special Persons is aimed at the provision of auxiliary equipment to ensure their ease and accessibility. Under the Program special persons will be able to apply for wheelchair and hearing aid. The receipt of applications for the purpose has started. Special persons can apply online at the portal of Social Welfare Department (awc.punjab.gov.pk) from the ease of their homes.
Chief Minister has said that rehabilitation of special persons is among the top priorities of Punjab government. She said,”I want special people to live an easy life like normal people”. A few weeks ago, Chief Minister had announced the project to provide assistive devices to the persons with disability in order to make their lives easier.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her message on International Day for Tolerance said patience, respect and tolerance are the foundations of a successful and a peaceful society.
Chief Minister said, “the world is a mixture of different beliefs, cultures, and ideologies, all of which must be respected.” She added that they are promoting tolerance and harmony in the light of the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said educational institutions should also teach principles of tolerance, respect, and love to the young generation. She added that the poison of hate and bigotry makes societies hollow. She highlighted that in order to build a society that provides equal opportunities and rights to every citizen is my priority. Chief Minister advised masses to accept differences, promote tolerance, and respect each other.
