Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his son Zain Qureshi have reiterated their resolve to stand by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
"I’m standing where I have been," Shah Mehmood Qureshi told reporters during his appearance in the court.
He added he is with the PTI founder and will remain with him. He said rumours about his family's disloyalty were being aired to defame it.
He alleged his family is being subjected to political persecution. However, he added that such tactics could not shatter his resolve.
His son said, “We stand with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and will continue to do so.” He said he remained silent for a long time as he was a party work
He said he reported to the show-cause notice and hoped for the best.
He added: “I speak straight. All things have been discussed with the party leadership. “I am the only member who was arrested from the National Assembly.
“My whole family has gone through hardships. “On November 24, I will go out to protest with the people of my constituency.”
The Anti-Terrorism Court issued directives to present Qureshi to be indicted in the GHQ attack case on November 25.
During the hearing , the police submitted a new inspection note detailing evidence from 54 locations near the GHQ gate, including destruction, arson, and the recovery of PTI paraphernalia.
Outside the court, Mehr Bano Qureshi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi's daughter, criticized the judiciary, claiming it had been "subjugated". She also urged the public to stand up for democracy on November 24.
