Although we are told that Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated heart stent manufacturing at NUST (National University of Science and Technology) Science Park in Islamabad, his cabinet member Fawad Chaudhry unintentionally (or intentionally) listed it as STUNT, using the word with letters in caps.
Fawad posted a tweet about the inauguration in the morning before the ceremony was held. Surely, it can’t be declared a typo and thus neglected. Why? Because he used the same spellings twice.
It shows that the person who is responsible for the affairs of science and technology in the country not only lacks basic knowledge about the item but also has poor English writing and comprehension skills.
The minister proudly mentioned that “the prime minister is going to inaugurate the Heart Stunts manufacturing” and “these STUNTS are of European standards”.
Obviously, this tweet could not go unnoticed. So one of the tweeps advised the federal minister to consult Google, saying “stents, not stunts, are inserted in a human body.”
“But if Imran Khan is inaugurating then it must be a stunt,” he remarked.
On the other hand, PML-N Secretary-General Ahsan Iqbal too responded to Fawad, telling him that the project was launched by the then PML-N government in March 2018.
