Shaikh directed to vacate Lal Haveli in seven days

Sheikh Muhammad Siddique brother of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed has been directed to evacuate Lal Haveli within seven days, Rawalpindi, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday. 

According to a notice issued by Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) on October 13, 2022 under Evacuee Trust Properties (Management and Disposal) Act, 1975, it is directed to Sheikh Muhammad Siddique son of Shaikh Ahmad to vacate the temple property no D-158 (Lal Haveli) within seven days.  

According to the ETPB, Sheikh Rasheed and his brother are illegally occupying seven land units in Bohar Bazar including Lal Haveli.

Deputy Administrator of the ETPB Rawalpindi Asif Khan warned that the occupied property will be evicted with the help of police if not vacated within seven days. Asif Khan also wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi for police assistance on October 19.

Lal Haveli is situated in Bohar Bazar and has been a political hub for the 

Khan said that several hearings have been held in this regard, however, Sheikh Muhammad Siddique failed to submit any authentic documents.

Consequently, Deputy Administrator Asif Khan rejected the request for further respite in this regard.
