Jinnah International Airport Customs Sunday arrested a man foiling his attempt to smuggle 39 iPhones from Dubai to Karachi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The customs officials stated that a man identified as Faisal Saleem reached Karachi from Dubai and was trying to smuggle mobile phones which cost around Rs40 million.
The arrested man was allegedly faking disability and trying to get away with the phones taped to his body via the green channel on a wheelchair.
The customs staff, upon suspicion, conducted a full body search and recovered the mobile phones.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Customs Act and he has been arrested.
Further investigations against the accused are underway.
