The low pressure, which had been formed over the Arabian Sea over a week ago and which had later developed into a depression moved further north-westwards in the last 12 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
It now lies 1,150 kilometers southwest of Karachi, 830 km south-west of Gwadar, 130 kilometers south-east of Doqum in Oman, 190 kilometers south, south-west of Masirah in Oman, and 490 kilometers north-east of Salala also in Oman.
Weathermen say the system is likely to weaken as it moves in the north-westerly direction.
Winds are blowing around the depression at the speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
