Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (retd) Safdar has alleged that what had happened to former president Pervez Musharraf is being avenged on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media men outs an anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Wednesday, Safdar said “I took the oath of allegiance as an army officer early in his age and the government has now registered a case against them under terrorism provisions."
Captain retired Safdar said the daughter of the three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif is appearing in the courts and it is unfortunate that a case has been registered against the women of the Sharif family.
He claimed, “Time is not far when Prime Minister Imran Khan like us will be seen on the streets chanting the slogan of 'Respect the vote'.”
Safdar said rulers have destroyed the economy and it has become difficult for a poor man to have two meals a day.
“Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's health is not good and what he was fed in NAB’s custody is itself a question. Nawaz Sharif is an asset of the nation who is undergoing treatment in London,” he further said.
Meanwhile, the ATC Lahore extended the bail of Captain Safdar and Rana Sanaullah till September 22. Safdar pleaded the court to provide the CCTV footage of the incident as there are fears police may damage the video footage.
The court also approved the application filed by Rana Sanaullah’s lawyers about his absence from the hearing pleading Rana is busy in National Assembly session.
Meanwhile, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz in a series of tweets questioned Chief Justice of Pakistan that will he tell the public about the pressure and who is obstructing justice and in front of whom the judges are helpless.
She said the court has ordered the arrest of Nawaz Sharif in the same case whose judge Arshad Malik was terminated from the service just because he accepted he gave the verdict under pressure.
