Defence analysts have said that there is a nexus of Afghan Taliban and terrorist organizations as Al-Qaeda maintains "close and symbolic" ties with the Afghan Taliban government.

Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday, Brig Iftekhar and Brig Syed Ghazanfar Ali said that Al-Qaeda leaders have close contacts with the Taliban leaders holding high positions in government.

Al-Qaeda members have held appointments and advisory positions in the Taliban government in security and administrative affairs, the analysts said.

They said that monthly welfare payments were made to Al-Qaeda and some of it was also given to fighters.

They said that various representatives of different countries and organizations commented on the current situation in Afghanistan.

In this regard Vladimir Vornokov commented that the situation in Afghanistan is becoming increasingly complex and the fear of arms and ammunitions getting into the hands of terrorists is now becoming a reality.

"Taliban now have to tell that the land of Afghanistan is not a safe haven for any terrorist organization," says US Ambassador Landa Thomas Greenfield.

"Weapons brought to Afghanistan by Western countries have now fallen into the hands of terrorists," says Russian Deputy Ambassador Maria Zabolotskaya.

"The withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan will be seen as a historic mistake, which has given militants the opportunity to once again gain a foothold in the country." Says former Commander US Central Command.

"Terrorists in Afghanistan continue to pose a serious threat to regional and global peace and security," participants of the Tashkent Conference said.

"Afghan Interim Government was urged to take effective measures to eliminate these terrorists in the country," participants further said.

"The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has taken safe shelter in Afghanistan and attacks are being carried out on Pakistan from there," participants of the Tashkent Conference commented.

In this regard Washington analyses that Afghanistan has once again become a haven for terrorism.

"They should take action against terrorists attacking inside Pakistan," State Department stated.

"Al-Qaeda and Tehreek-e-Taliban are guiding Pakistan to carry out increasing attacks inside Pakistan," Security Council claimed.
