PTI President and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is on his way to Lahore from Islamabad on Saturday after a court in the federal capital approved his one-day transit remand in connection with graft cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A team of Anti-Corruption Establishment officials took the former CM in custody from Islamabad’s Judicial Complex and set off for Lahore.

Pervaiz Elahi will be produced in the court tomorrow in Lahore hearing graft cases against him.

Duty judge Sharukh Arjumand while hearing the case also ordered the authorities to carry out Pervaiz Elahi’s medical check-up.

Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer claimed that his client was being arrested for 12^th time.

Media men entry banned

The Judicial Complex officials banned the entry of media men during the hearing of Pervaiz Elahi’s case.

The officials failed to give any reason for barring the journalists.
