The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has rejected the rumours about its closure, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
A group is responsible for spreading misinformation, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan said.
The rumour about the airline closure on September 15 has damaged its reputation, he said, adding that the management has been engaged in the disbursement of funds domestically and internationally along with the salaries of the employees.
The PIA is based on strong foundations and has a strong network across the globe, said Abdullah Hafeez Khan, adding that it has an adequate number of aircraft for both international and domestic flights.
