A man involved in the smuggling and sale of Iranian diesel and petrol has been arrested by District Malir police in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kashif Aftab the accused was arrested from Main Road Somargoth area and was identified as Anayatullah.
He said that 10,000 litres of Iranian petrol 5,000 litres of Iranian diesel and a tanker used for supply were recovered from the arrested accused.
The SSP said that the arrested suspect revealed during the investigation that he used to supply and sell illegal Iranian diesel and petrol in different areas of the city.
Legal action is being taken against the arrested accused and further investigations are underway, SSP Malir said.
