Punjab to induct 10,000 constables

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved the induction of 10,000 constables in the provincial police force, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
These constables will be inducted against the vacant seats and the half of the approved number, i.e., 5,000 will be appointed during this year, while remaining 5,000 will be inducted during the next fiscal year.

While announcing the reinforcement in the police force, CM Buzdar said “The whole induction process will be transparent and we will make every effort to boost the police force.”
Appreciating the department, the CM said “The police have played an exemplary part regarding its role in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.”
He said that the police are serving dutifully, and besides appreciating its role in the current situation, “We also praise our police for its role of safeguarding the public by tackling the criminal elements.”
