The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has issued directives to use the Survey of Pakistan-certified version of the map.
Any individual, firm, or department involved in printing, displaying, using or circulating incorrect and unofficial versions of the country’s map will be liable to be jailed for five years or a Rs5 million fine or both, according to the Surveying and Mapping (Amendment) Bill 2020.
PEIRA also laid stress on raising awareness among youth about the official map of the country.
