The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intelligence wing on Sunday foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs capsules to Bahrain and took into custody Muhammad Ayaz, a resident of Khyber, at Peshawar’s International Bacha Khan Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the ANF spokesman, 77 capsules of heroin were recovered from the accused which he swallowed to bypass the ANF intelligence. The accused wanted to take the capsules to Bahrain via flight number GF-787.
He further said that a case had been registered against him under the Anti-Narcotics Act and that investigation into the case has been launched.
The accused wanted to smuggle 616 grams of heroin.
