At 79 years old, the Karachi-based citizen has earned a PhD in Mass Communication from Federal Urdu University, shattering stereotypes and inspiring generations with his iron will, unyielding resilience, and unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

"I just wanted to keep the candle of knowledge burning," Usmani said in an emotional moment after receiving his degree. "Learning has been my passion. Even when my body broke down, my spirit kept going."
