Pakistan Women stormed into the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 with an emphatic 87-run victory over Thailand Women at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday night, marking their fourth consecutive win in the Qualifiers.

With this clinical win, Pakistan not only maintained their unbeaten run but also secured the top spot in the points table, confirming qualification for the prestigious World Cup to be held in India.

Having previously outclassed Ireland, Scotland, and the West Indies, the Green Shirts will now face Bangladesh in their final group-stage game—more of a formality than a decider, as their ticket to India is already punched.

Pakistan posted a solid 205/6 in their allotted 50 overs after being asked to bat first.

Sidra Amin anchored the innings with a classy 80 off 105 balls, stroking 9 fours and keeping the scoreboard ticking even as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Skipper Fatima Sana chipped in with a crucial 62 off 59 balls, combining aggression with smart placement.

Thailand’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs. Tipatcha Putthawong was the pick of the lot, claiming 2 wickets for 32 runs in her 10 overs, while Kamchomphu and Putthawong provided some resistance with the ball.

In reply, Thailand faltered under pressure and were bundled out for just 118 in 34.4 overs. None of the Thai batters managed to stay long at the crease, with Nannapat Koncharoenkai top-scoring with 19.

Pakistan’s bowling attack fired on all cylinders. Nashra Sandhu, Rameen Shamim and Fatima Sana chipped in with three wickets each, keeping the Thai batters in check throughout the innings.

As things stand, Pakistan top the table with 4 wins from 4, and a final game against Bangladesh awaits. With the top two teams qualifying for the World Cup, Pakistan have already clinched one of the coveted spots.
