Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Thursday that Pakistan was the only country in the world whose every segment of the population had given sacrifices in the war against terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to UK member of the parliament (MP) Lord Wajid Khan, the minister said that the sacrifices given by Pakistan’s security forces against terrorists were unprecedented and were an example for others to follow.

He urged the international community to support the country in the war on terror. “In this connection, the UK’s role is of great importance,” the minister added.

He further said that Pakistan wanted to enhance its cooperation with the UK in every sector.

Naqvi went on to say that the repatriation of foreigners living in the country was underway smoothly. “They are being sent back to their countries with honour and dignity,” he said, adding, “However, action is not being taken against those who possess legal documents.”

British MP, on the occasion, expressed deep grief and shock over the Jaffar Express hijacking that resulted in the loss of several lives.

He offered his condolences to the bereaved families, and said that his country valued the countless sacrifices given by Pakistan’s forces against terrorism.

Lord Wajid thanked the interior minister for assisting in shifting the Afghan refugees from Pakistan to the UK.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and British High Commissioner in Pakistan Jane Marriott were also present on the occasion.
