The prices of gold in the local market have broken records to reach a historic high with a huge increase on Wednesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the rates of fine gold of 24 karats have increased by Rs5,500 per tola to Rs1,45,400 per tola in the local market.
The Saraf Market Association Karachi representatives termed the new price hike of gold a reason for the increase in the rate of the dollar against the Pakistani currency.
