Claiming that some people in the party did not want him to meet former prime minister and the PTI founder Imran Khan, the party’s outspoken leader Sher Afzal Marwat said on Saturday they knew that if he met him, he would devise a course of action for protests, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an informal chat with reporters outside Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, Marwat said in the entire party, only he was capable of bringing people out on the roads.
He said he had been waiting outside the jail building to meet Imran since morning, but had not been allowed inside. “Next time I come, I will bring the court order with me,” he said, adding, “I want to present my point of view to the former prime minister.”
Marwat announced that if the PTI was not allowed to hold a public gathering on August 22, he would organize the event.
He opined that some people had poisoned Imran against him.
