Accomplished Bollywood star has reprimanded paparazzi for their immoral action of filming her secretly, without her consent during the flag hoisting ceremony.

As Shilpa and her sister Shamita Shetty were waiting to start the ceremony, the former spotted a paparazzo recording the video. Shilpa approached him and asked to shoot it properly. She said, “Please bhai, iske saath mazaak mat kariye, usko sahi se dikhaiye. Please band kariye aap (Please brother, don't make a joke out of this. Show this properly or shut it off).” The paparazzo could be heard saying, “Thank you so much ma'am.”

When Shilpa Shetty was trolled for wearing shoes during flag hoisting

On August 15, 2023, Shilpa Shetty shared a video on her IG handle to mark the 77th Independence Day. In the video, the actress was seen hoisting the national flag in the presence of her mother, Sunanda Shetty, her husband, Raj Kundra, and their kids, Viaan and Samisha. Shilpa and her children twinned in white ensembles, whereas Raj opted for a green-hued kurta set. However, as soon as Shilpa posted the video, netizens mocked her for wearing shoes while hoisting the flag.

Shilpa Shetty strongly slammed the trolls and asked them to check the facts

Soon after, Shilpa shared an IG story and reacted to the trolls. She shared a screenshot of a Google search about the rules of hoisting the Indian flag with shoes on, and the response below the question was, "The Flag Code of India does not prohibit hoisting the national flag while wearing shoes." Dropping the picture atop it, Shilpa wrote, "#Facts" with an Indian flag sticker. She also dropped a comment on her post, which could be read as: "I am aware of the “Rules” of conduct while hoisting the flag ,the RESPECT for my country and THE FLAG stems from my heart and not up for questioning . I am a proud Indian . Today’s post was to share and celebrate that emotion. To all the trollers( that I ignore usually )DO NOT appreciate YOU airing your ignorance and spreading negativity on this Day . So get your facts rights and please BACK OFF."
