The sixth anniversary of a prominent dramatist and unique artist Kamal Ahmed Rizvi is being observed on Friday.
Kamal Ahmed Rizvi was born in 1930 in Bihar, India. After the establishment of Pakistan, he migrated with his family and came to Pakistan.
Some of the popular plays of Kamal included ‘Badshahat Ka Khatma’, ‘Julius Caesar’, ‘Hum Sub Pagal Hain’ and ‘Balaqi Badzaat’.
Kamal had the honour to translate many novels and books. Besides, being a noted writer, Kamal also showcased his acting skills.
Alif Noon took him to the heights of fame and wonder. The duo of Ahmed Rizvi and Rafi Khawar alias Nanha achieved great success.
Moreover, in every play of ‘Alif Noon’, a message was given to the people with the best comedy. ‘Alif Noon’ was one of the most successful dramas on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).
Kamal was a man possessing many capabilities and his demise had created a vacuum in the world of art and literature that would be difficult to fill. He died in Karachi on December 17, 2015 at the age of 85 after a prolonged illness.
