Caretaker Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Gohar Ijaz has returned to Pakistan after a successful visit to China, where he engaged in crucial discussions and signed multiple agreements aimed at bolstering bilateral trade ties between the two nations.


According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Gohar Ijaz during his visit successfully negotiated agreements to enhance cooperation in the textile, auto, and electric vehicle sectors.


Talking to media persons, he said China's textile exports amount to a staggering $320 billion while Pakistan is currently earning $20 billion from textile exports, demonstrating the vast potential for collaboration in this sector.


Minister Gohar Ijaz announced that Pakistan emphasized the need to strengthen economic ties and explore new avenues for mutual benefit. “The collaborative efforts are expected to lead to a significant boost in trade activities between China and Pakistan,” he said, adding that the agreements reached during the visit are not limited to specific sectors but aim to fortify the overall economic and investment cooperation between Pakistan and China.


Both countries expressed their commitment to fostering a stronger economic partnership through sustained collaboration and shared initiatives.
