Famous national wrestler and Olympian Inam Butt defeated Amjad Pehlwan in mud wrestling at the Bahawalpur Stadium, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
Around 5,000 wrestling enthusiasts thronged the venue to watch thrilling fights between top wrestlers of the country.
The main fight of Sultan Dangal between Inam and Amjad was held on Friday at the request of Inam as he wanted the supporters to witness a quality fight as they had come from far-flung areas.
He took only a couple of minutes to topple his opponent.
After a couple of sharp tricks, Inam of Gujranwala applied the lock which helped him to beat Amjad who also is known for his mud wrestling exploits.
He received a cash award of Rs 400,000 instead of committed Rs 600,000 because he did not want to deprive a large number of people of the opportunity to witness the fight.
He will now begin his mat wrestling training as he is set to feature in the Paris Olympics Qualifiers in the next few months.
