A policeman and his son were martyred by three dacoits in the limits of Ramna Police Station, Islamabad on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The martyred police constable, Ashraf, who was deputed at Police Lines Headquarters, was going to his home along with his son, Zeeshan, after finishing his duty when the dacoits opened fire at them, police sources said.
The deceased constable followed the dacoits when he saw that they were trying to commit a dacoity. When the assailants saw that the constable was coming to arrest them, they tried to flee the scene but the brave policeman got hold of the dacoits and called his son for help.
During the fight, a dacoit took out the pistol and opened fire which hit Ashraf in the chest. After killing brave father, the dacoits also killed the son on the spot.
After killing the police constable and his son, the dacoits fled the scene.
Dead bodies of both were shifted to PIMS hospital.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the martyred policeman protested against his killing outside the DC Office.
24NewsHD TV channel has obtained the CCTV footage of the incident, which shows that the deceased constable is running after the dacoits.
