A delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) on Tuesday visited the residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad.
MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui led the party delegation consisting of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and former federal minister Syed Amin Ul Haq. From the JUI-F side, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and Senator Kamran Murtaza held a meeting with the MQM-P delegation.
According to sources, the MQM-P delegation took Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman into confidence over the proposed constitutional amendments package to strengthen the local government institutions.
On this occasion, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui presented the draft of the proposed constitutional amendments package to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
