The recent National Assembly session was conspicuous by the absence of the government ministers.
PMLN’s Khawaja Asif brought this worrying situation to the notice of National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.
“Mr Speaker you can see the first four rows are empty. Isn’t it a worrying sign?”
He told the Speaker that the KPK Assembly witnessed a protest by the opposition during a similar situation.
Over this, Speaker Asad Qaiser reprimanded PTI parliamentary minister Ali Muhammad Khan.
“You’re asking me to prorogue the session till tomorrow? If this (situation) persists, I should prorogue the session for an indefinite period of time.”
The Speaker angrily said that he is still awaiting the answers to the questions, adding that he would ask the relevant secretary to explain the reason.
The Chief Whip of PTI in the Assembly had proposed the Speaker to take necessary action against the concerned quarters.
