The authorities have directed the stadium ground staff to prepare slower pitches in all the three venues —Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore—against the upcoming home series against Australia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The preparations are comparatively easy for Lahore and Karachi but in Rawalpindi due to the tough weather condition, it is a challenge for the ground staff to prepare a slow track.

According to the sources, the Australians are making their way to Pakistan after 24 years. Aussies are experienced on the hard pitches at their home ground, so apparently slower pitches would be a tester for the guest team to experience the game in different conditions.

The first test of the three-match series will start from March 4 at Rawalpindi, as this will be in the last three decades that Pakistan will take on Australia in its home soil.

Earlier, Uncapped Queensland fast bowler Mark Steketee has been called into Australia's squad for the upcoming Test tour of Pakistan, replacing the injured Michael Neser.

And another uncapped paceman from Queensland, Brendan Doggett, has been named on standby for the series.
