Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan has been ruled out from Pakistan Super League the due to an injury, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Islamabad United have picked Asif Ali to head the franchise in the remaining matches of the seventh edition of the PSL second-leg.
Asif being a stand-out players of Islamabad United played for the two-time PSL winners since the first edition.
Asif has proved himself as an important part of United’s success both as a hard-hitting batter and as well as a quality fielder.
The franchise confirmed that skipper Shadab Khan, along with pacer Zeeshan Zameer, had been ruled out of the Thursday clash against Peshawar Zalmi.
"We have just received their medical reports and medical panel will share all the details soon," the franchise said in a statement
The latest blow to Islamabad came after opening batter Alex Hales decided to pull out of the tournament midway.
Today, Islamabad United will play against Peshawar Zalmi at 7:30 pm at Qaddafi International Stadium in Lahore.
